Everyone is aware that there’s a lot of money in the ‘adult’ industry, but not everyone knows that there’s more to it than merely ‘adult films’. No matter what your site is about, assuming it’s in some way adult related, you can make cash through an adult affiliate program.
Adult affiliate programs vary greatly from what a good number of people think of when we think ‘adult’ from sex toys, BDSM sites, cam sites, adult dating sites and more. There’s a whole world of adult-related sites out there that you can advertise without having follow the way of of adult videos. I will discuss a few of these websites at this time:
1. Sex toy affiliate programs
Sex toys are exceedingly diverse and their affiliate programs can accompany many styles of sites. Sex toys themselves can vary from the regular dildos and vibrators through bondage gear, more severe BDSM equipment, sex machines, sex furniture (i.e. the Liberator) and more.
You can promote sites or even individual toys that your readers may be partial to, one popular ‘classy’ line of adult products is the Lelo line. Lelo makes sleek looking adult products that have a certain air of sophistication to them and promoting them might actually improve the overall look of your site.
2. Cam sites
Cam sites are fairly popular, and there are dozens of them around. Be wary when picking an affiliate as there are a lot of underhanded, fly-by-night businesses out there. It’s by and large a fairly decent idea to stick to the main sites, just do some looking around and you’ll notice lots of of the same companies crop up again and again.
Still, promoting cam sites can be a bit difficult as a lot of people are too discomfited or shy to try them.
3. Dating sites
When people think about adult dating, sites companies like eHarmony and Match.com come to mind, but there are many more out there and a lot of options to choose from.
The most prevalent of the ’sex search’ sites are Adult Friend Finder and Alt.com. These sites were made so people can easily find sex partners or in the case of alt.com, alternative lifestyle partners, i.e. BDSM, dom/sub, fetish, etc… There are also dating sites for just about every type dating you can conjure up from Christian dating sites to BBW, interracial and others.
These adult affiliate programs can do well on a range of sites and should be considered.
4. Adult video sites
Adult video sites can earn money, but only if your site is a bit more ‘extreme adult’, if not they do nothing but reduce the value of your site and I don’t particularly recommend promoting them.
So, contemplate promoting some adult sites, think beyond the regular adult videos sites and you may be able to discover a good system to add a bit of side revenue to your site.
